Consumption of green leafy veggies reduces diabetes

If you would like to help yourself out & reduce the risk of diabetes, try eating more leafy vegetables as a new study finds them very healthy & helpful.
The more green leafy veggies are consumed, the more you are far from diabetes. British researchers analyzed the results of six prior studies performed on diabetes & various types of food, nothing that spinach & cabbage seemed to reduce the risk of developing the condition.
In total the researchers looked at more than 220,000 people for their study & found that eating more veggies did not decrease diabetes risk, but eating more sure did point you in the healthy direction. Writing in the British Medical Journal, the researchers noted that eating only a serving & a half of green leafy veggies daily could reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 14%.

This should be easy to do for everybody, as this recommended amount of vegetables is not even close to the daily recommended amount for good health. Diabetes is characterized by the inability of the pancreas to produce sufficient levels of the hormone insulin, which the body needs to regulate blood sugar.
