A simple Urine test helps diagnose colon cancer

Researchers are near to developing a urine examination for the detection of colon cancer.
Such an examination could compliment or even lessen the chance for colonoscopy, the mainstay screening test used to diagnose the problem currently.Colon CancerThe research, carried out by Wei Jia and fellow workers, examines chemical disparities in the urine of human beings with a& without colon cancer.

The scientists mentioned that colonoscopy, which involves using a flexible, lighted tube to see inside the colon, is the effectual technique for the early testing of colon cancer.But, the method is unpleasant, pricey, & long.

The researchers said that a urine examination could offer up an alternative technique. For the research, the research group examined urine samples from 123 people - 60 having colon cancer & 63 without - for differences in its composition.

The researchers found 16 matters, which appear in unusual amounts in colon cancer.The alterations comprise augmented degrees of tryptophan, one of the 22 amino acids found in proteins.The research group stated that the outcomes show the potential of using urine as a tool for diagnosing colon cancer.
