Curry may cure Tennis Elbow!

Indian curries are also the part of foreign experiment & the researchers claimed that curry could bring good results for the tennis elbow patients. An Ingredient found in Indian curries "turmeric" minimizes tendon inflammation in the joints.

The International team of researchers found curcumin, which is the principal curcuminoid of the popular Indian spice turmeric. It is a member of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae) & can be beneficial for the people diagnosed with tennis elbow & other forms of tendinitis. It suppresses biological mechanisms that cause inflammation in tendon diseases.

Researchers at the University of Nottingham & Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich said that the ingredient can block the inflammation. They said that it is not the Indian Curry, rather the turmeric or curcumin that may cure the inflammatory conditions such as tendinitis & arthritis. The findings would be published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.

Tendinitis causes pain in joints particularly in shoulders, hips, elbows, wrists, knees or heels. The disease is on rise & is mostly found at old age. The older people are more at risk of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis & diabetes.

Turmeric can be bitter by taste, but kills germs & bacteria. Previous research studies had suggested that turmeric can be beneficial for patients suffering with Arthritis, Alzheimer's & Cancer. However, it is difficult to say te minimum dose to give the patients. Usually, a patient should 've 100g of curry powder in the curry to get a 3.6g clinical dose.
