Soft drinks are not good for health

Soft drinks 've become a trend especially among teenagers & youngsters in the modern societies. Serving the meal without soft drinks seems unthinkable sometimes. Yet many health experts warned that soft drinks are not healthy at all, whatever the brand. But it seems that these warning from doctors or health practitioners to stop consuming soft drinks are rarely taken noticed by most people.

According to many people, "It's Very Tasty!". The taste could be one thing that gets us addicted to drinking soda, it is delicious. In fact, it is so good, that many people drink it with every meal! It's Everywhere! You might not realize how ubiquitous soft drinks are in our society until you try to stop drinking soda. The most addictive thing about soda is the convenience. If you want something quick or are in a hurry, it is so easy to "Grab-n-Go"! Soda may be pretty inexpensive when compared with fruit juice & milk.

Do you know the extent to which drinking carbonated, caffeinated, sugared, or artificially sweetened beverages harms your body? Giving up soft drinks can be one of the best things you can do to improve your health. There are no health benefits which can be obtained from soft drinks. What you get is just a lot of useless calories. 

Researchers at the University of Texas found that soft drinks increase the risk of obesity an average of 32.8%. There is no nutrient or mineral content in it, but just sugar & caffeine. Addiction is due to the caffeine content in it. After stopping the habit of drinking soft drinks, you will experience substances withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, depression, nervousness & shivering.

According to a report published by the American Heart Association in Circulation Journal in 2007, people who take soft drinks every day will increase the risk of metabolic syndrome, a condition that increases risk of heart disease & diabetes, amounting to 44%. It reduces the number of sperm of men who consumed one liter or more soft drinks each day can be harmful to sperm. Men who consume soft drinks often produce sperm, 30% lower than those who do not consume soft drinks.

Often people drink soda to quench the thirst. However, this is probably the worst time to drink soda, because when you are very thirsty or dehydrated you 've low levels of saliva. And saliva helps to neutralize acids (soda is the most acidic beverage you can buy) & wash your teeth clean. There Are So Many Healthy Alternatives! Soda replaces healthier drinks. By drinking soda, you cut the intake of fresh juices, milk, tea & even water & deprive yourself from essential vitamins & minerals.

well said. it is high time all of us shift towards fruit juices or still better ripe fruits.
