Diet soft drinks lead to premature births

According to new research, preggies should stay away from artificially sweetened diet soft drinks as they are associated with premature births.

The study carried out on around 60,000 expecting females in Denmark discovered that women who consumed such soft drinks, whether carbonated or still, were more probable to give birth before time.

Boffins discovered that those who consumed one serving daily of artificially drink were 38% more expecting to deliver baby before 37 weeks' conception. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the expecting females who had four servings on a daily basis were 78% more likely to have their baby ahead of time. It is suspected that artificial sweetened diet soft drinks are collapsed inside the human body into chemicals that may 've an effect on the womb. The research was carried out by Thorahallur Halldorsson of the Statens Serum Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark.
