Breast Cancer patients face sex problems after treatment

According to a research study, women who are diagnosed with breast cancer & taking drugs for the treatment, can 've problems in their sex lives after the treatment, highlighting the treatment can worsen their sex lives.

According to the researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, women with breast cancer used to take drugs, called aromatase inhibitors or tamoxifen, which block the female hormones from feeding the tumor. The study found that women, who are taking inhibitors to get cured of the disease, are more likely to develop problems in bedroom with the partner.

The study conducted on 1,000 women of the age group of 54 in Australia found that after the treatment of breast cancer, they had sexual difficulties, even having the romantic partners. About 82% of women reported a loss of libido & vaginal dryness after the treatment, who were happy with their sex lives before the treatment.

The researchers said that both the drugs are highly effective & recommended for breast cancer treatment. However, finding sex difficult is natural after the breast cancer treatment. But the patient after the treatment needs to consult her physician for high quality health care to get rid of such problem.
