According to a new study, chances of a happy marriage increase by 20% if men marry younger women belonging to the same heritage.The secret of happy marriage is to marry a younger women. However, marrying a divorced woman do not guarantee a happy & successful marriage.

“If people follow these guidelines in choosing their partners they can increase their chances of a happy, long marriage by up to 20%,” affirms Nguyen Vi Cao.

Queen and DukeTo prove their study, the scientists 've cited the example of the Queen & Duke of Edinburgh who are still happily married.

The 83 year old Queen is four years 10 months younger than the Duke & also share a common cultural identity as Duke who was a member of both the Greek & Danish Royal families.

  • The researchers looked at 1,074 couples in the age bracket of 19 to 75 years to discover the social factors that were necessary for a long and happy relationship.
  • On analysis, they found that those men who had at least four years younger & smarter wife were happier than those men who married older women.
  • The academic research detailed in the European Journal of Operational Research also established that women who were younger were better life partners as they respected their husband’s seniority & this kept the men happy.
Past research has also proved that loyal couples spent 24 minutes a day having a healthy tête-à-tête every evening & never went to bed immediately after a sexual intercourse.

  • A surprising but true study found that married couples are the happiest after their marriage is 2 years, 11 months & eight days old.
  • The researchers who carried out the research questioned 4,000 married people on their marriage & calculated the average time it took the couples to understand each other.
  • According to the study, this was the minimum time that spouses took in getting comfortable with each other’s good & bad habits.

Lead author of the study, Carol Richardson who runs the wedding portal www.confetti.co.uk says, “Three years after walking down the aisle & everything seems to come together - making each other laugh the most & cuddle up in front of the TV.”
